Meet the Coach
Meet the new high school varsity coach, Greg Souza, on Wednesday, January 25, 6pm at the Westbrook High School.  Coach Souza will discuss his baseball philosophy, expectations for the coming year and plans to grow the Westbrook baseball program.  This event is open to prospective baseball players and the entire community.
 

Batting Cage Fundraiser
There is an opportunity to use a section of the Westbrook Community Center and put in a hitting facility. This facility would be open to all Westbrook baseball and softball players. The Community Center would be running the facility and charging a small per hour fee, to maintain the equipment. It would be open until 8:00 pm every night. The cost to get it off and running would be $2500. This would set up 2 cages, with L-screens and hitting mats and hitting tees. Baseballs,softballs, and wiffle balls would also be provided. Donations are requested to help get this started, any amount would be greatly appreciated and help us get to our goal. Click here for Coach Souza's letter about the proposed facility.

Update: The batting cages and screens have been ordered. Thank you to those who helped make this facility a reality. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.

New Varsity Coach Hired
Greg Souza has been hired as varsity coach of the Blazes'. Greg's coaching resume includes pitching coach for St. Joseph's College, senior legion coach for Westbrook, assistant coach for the Blazes, and president of the Westbrook Baseball Boosters. Westbrook Baseball Booster Members Needed
We are in need of a few booster members. As we start the 2012 season the boosters have two open positions. The teams rely on support from the boosters and we need your help. Please contact us if you would like to join the boosters or want to volunteer for one of our fundraising efforts. Please see the booster page for more information.
 

Coach Rutherford Resigns
Varsity Coach Mike Rutherford resigned as coach of the Blazes. After a four year run, coach Rutherford decided a chance to coach his step son was an chance he could not pass up.
